Wish you a rejuvenating Easter everyday!

When I was a child, Easter was one of my favourite special days: our school will gather all children in the playground for an Easter egg hunt. Physically I was a little bit awkward when I was child - being short and not too agile; I usually could only gather one or two tiny eggs. After the hunt, teachers would distribute a large size chocolate egg to each student. Thinking of the entire event today, probably our teachers were trying to imply to us that grace, through the resurrection of Christ that He has conquered death, is not something achievable through one’s ability but it is being handed to us as a gift for us not only to unwrap but also to “eat up”.

Although to most of us Easter egg hunts are no longer as exciting as they were, the resurrection of Jesus Christ is still and should be very significant in everyone’s heart each day, as long as we are not yet dead. What does resurrection symbolize? Does it only tell us that death is not the end of everything, but that we can hope for a victorious unity with God?

If we only wait until the end our lives on earth to be with God, then the resurrection of Jesus Christ would not able to make any significance in our daily lives. No, we don’t have to wait; in fact, we should not wait until the day we die. We can unwrap the gift today, tomorrow, and every day! Not until we start unwrapping the gift, our hearts would not able to be transformed. It is like peeling onions, or opening up one of those Russian dolls. There are always some areas within ourselves that we were not aware of, not being touched, or not being encountered, but waiting to be transformed by the Holy Spirit.

Once a person believes in Christ, his/her relationship with Heavenly Father is reconciled through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. By becoming Jesus’ disciples, we can experience rejuvenating Easter everyday if we open our hearts listening to softly spoken words from Holy Spirit: on devotion, reflection, through prayers, and meditating on Bible verse. Talking to Heavenly Father every day at any time any place; as a Christian, what is being more important than to have a life’s journey in peace through Christ?!
