“The Purpose Drive Life” book by Rev. Rick Warren has guided us looking into many Bible verse into detail analysis. One example, Pg. 105 "offer our bodies as living sacrifices" - "... the problem with a living sacrifice is that it can crawl off the alter, and we often do that..." Not only the "Only-Sunday-Christian" syndrome, but also some sin that we'd been carrying and worrying us for many years which we thought we have put them onto the alter and burnt many years ago can sometime creep back and haunt us, then we have to go through the troublesome of putting them back onto the alter. Indeed, it is a lifetime process.
