True Worship: Building From a Relationship with God

To maintain a relationship with God through Christ is individual responsibility, possibly with guidance from spiritual friends. No one can blame anyone on one's relationship with God. A healthy companionship with people can only continue when each satisfaction’s source is God Himself. Everyone has limited time and energy; guilt should be freed when once cannot meet individual self-desire need when the offer has been of the best ability one could have given. I could not help an individual by offering unlimited resource of companionship to satisfy the other party’s desire; if I did, then I may have spoiled the opportunity for the individual to rely on God, or I may have be leading the person to false worship.

Our companionship with people and all creatures are catalysts to invoke each of us the urge to know God deeper and looking for an intimate relationship with him, the companionship with people and all creatures itself is not our targets of worship which often lead to false worship. If one is trying to protect a person from false worship by purely satisfying a person’s self-desire, then that itself is a false worship. The mission is to spread the good news of Christ’s Salvation, not to hide/forbid the choice of false worship from people.

Friendship & Worship

"TRUE friendship"... hmmmm (people come, go, change, phase-in, phase-out, thanks God not yet dying...) ... nowadays I pray for not to be fell into FALSE worship:

Sad that these often happen in church organizations in general:
  • people outcast "X" when "X" ignores gossiping chain
  • people distant "X" when "X" no longer benefits their own personal goal/desire
  • people queer "X" when "X" refuses to join the "manipulation games" of Biblical verse
  • people abuse "X" when "X" offers love and generosity
As I grow older... more self-desires, needs, greed crop out from me, may the Lord often alert me of those problems so that I won't divert too far.

Sometimes pain/hurts is inflicted by people/environment around us, it really takes time to be healed in Christ, although healed wound sometimes left with deep scar... Christ was sold by his disciple... not easy being "Christ"-ian (sigh...), and He has scars so deep that they penetrated through when shown to Thomas.

Boiling down to the end, each of us is left naked in front of God...

God questions us: "Where is your scar?" (in a tone of Wendy's burger commercial many years ago: "Where is the beef). :-)
We say: "Here they are...".
God replies: "I don't mean self-inflicted wounds".
We say: "Oh, let me see, here is a tiny one but not like the one as penetrating as Jesus''".
God replies: "I see this tiny one. Welcome to join us!"
We leap!

May Lord have grace & mercy upon us. Amen.

Sze-Chuen Earthquake: sad and angry

A couple days ago, my father forwarded me following youtube link

承諾 - 好有意思的一首歌 (演藝人協會四川大地震賑災主題曲)

on a song about the Sze-Chuen Earthquake. Of course, I feel sad on the suffering of the people, but I also feel angry to those who lacked of interest of following construction standards, or pushing for any cut-backs for extreme profits, or those who disregarded the study of science (nature) and engineering. By following construction standards base on the understanding of science perhaps will eliminate deaths and wounds.
